Message	modifying/renovating the track itself. CART easily would have been the fastest cars to see the track, and yes CART was mismanaged, but that had nothing to do with the race being cancelled, but more with how the cancellation and the resultant PR was handled. I cant find the 2001 IRL qualifying time, but it was run in October whereas CART was in April. 2006's qualifying speed was 213.something 2001's CART race saw 22.6 seconds as the fastest practice lap, please check my math, but that is a speed of 238.9something. big difference
